Well, down in the Mohawk Valley, spring shows up about three weeks earlier than it does here ‘on the mountain’. We are about 1000 feet higher in elevation, and it is a surprise to go down ‘into town’ and see just how much further along they are!
One of the things that really lets you know it is spring, are the first flowers of the season that bloom. Daffodils are clearly some of the first to show up, but there are many others. The amazing thing is that they are everywhere! I am looking forward to doing a lot of spring floral images of flowers I’m not used to, and then branching out into the summer images that are possible in the Adirondacks! Stay tuned, but here’s the first shot of spring.
