Mary Glover is an oil painter and her favorite subject is her daughter, her horses and their wonderful ranch just east of Elgin Texas. The idea was to get out extremely early and catch the morning sun with four different horses, the dogs, and Mom painting her daughter while she rode, walked, or just worked the horses. We were attempting to capture something that these two had done many times, in so many different locations. For the most part, the sun did not cooperate – thick clouds obscured it for almost all of the morning. But when it did peak through, the golden glow was just fantastic. There are several good images from the morning session, but these are a couple of my favorites. Just wish the web did a better job of showing the golden color of the morning!
