Rachel and Toad

Well, when my niece FINALLY got engaged (insert long family story here), I knew that we just had to get some great images of her and her husband to be. Let’s face it, they are going to head off to Las Vegas in October and tie the knot, so I won’t be there.

The thought was to find a spot that would make them both feel comfortable (Toad LOVES to have his picture taken). Rachel grew up in the Spruce Lake area, so it just made sense to take the pictures up here – in places where she had played and dreamed as a child. Of course, her mother was along for the session, but if we posted THOSE pictures, I’d have to digress.

When I was thinking about it, I wanted to show them walking along one of the great paths in the woods or by the lake itself. They came up with the idea to head down to the dam (of course along the dam path) and that proved to be a great spot as well. Deborah helped with the lighting and posing as we get better and better at working together.

We ended up with a LOT of nice images, but here are a few of my favorites. Hope you enjoy them!
