Last weekend, Deborah and I went out to experiment with some new lighting gear and techniques. I ‘volunteered’ the girl who cuts my hair because a year ago, I had gotten a quick picture of her in a parade and I thought she was very photogenic! I was getting my haircut and said to her “So, what are you doing tomorrow afternoon?” She said she wasn’t doing much, so I asked her to model for us. She also said she had never done this kind of thing before.
We went to my favorite location, the Old Mill in Dolgeville (which is right across from where Lydia cuts hair). Jan was kind enough to let us roam the facility and shoot wherever we wanted to. It was a bright sunny day and the outside shots were tough. Lydia had never worked as a ‘model’ before, but she did a fantastic job while we messed around with settings on lights, umbrellas, cameras, posing and the rest.
Then, we went inside one of the buildings and Lydia was warming up to being a model. I think the shots of her are incredible and there is no doubt about – she is one beautiful woman! What do you think?
Dave these look beautiful! Her eyes are great.
Can you believe that I didn’t do a THING with her eyes? That’s the way they are…
I think you use photography as a way for the old man to continue flirting with hot, young girls. LOL. I like the 3rd one.
I cannot believe you figured that out so quickly! Now….since DEBORAH was there the whole time – how did I do that flirting? :-)
