Well, the leaves are starting to fall off the trees like snow here. This morning when we woke up it was 29 degrees out and a very heavy frost was on the ground. Clear and sunny, but cold! The last week has been a lot of fun. My brother and sister-in-law came up from Washington D.C. and stayed a couple of days. We met them in Cooperstown, the baseball hall of fame, which is only about 30-40 minutes from here. The drive was beautiful! We spent some time in a park, where a couple of these photos were taken.
Then, Deborah and I went Kayaking on the lake (great picture of her) and then down to Ithaca, which was through the Catskill Mountains. Wow! What scenery! Different than the Adirondacks, but very beautiful and maybe more dramatic! Didn’t have the big cameras with me, as I was on a networking mission. But, plan to go back to that area when I have some time, even though it is a 2 1/2 hour drive one way. Anyway, enjoy the new pictures!
And, this news just in for those of you who were waiting – I did not get the Commissioner of Aviation job. The other individual had more current, hands-on experience in running an airport than I did. So, for all of you who were praying on my behalf, I thank you… One door closes and another always opens!
Inconcieveable!! Sorry to hear about the job Dave. Thought you had it in the bag. The only possible reason is that there must be something better waiting for you out there. Hey I hear the position for commander-in-chief is opening up.
By the way, that really is a nice picture of Deborah.
Oh well, the reason they used was valid, so no complaints. I applied for the commander-in-chief job and they said I was over qualified :-) Anyway, that is a good look for Deborah!
LOVE LOVE LOVE those first two pictures! It really is beautiful out there – but I will enjoy it from afar….it’s a little chilly in Okinawa today too – about 75 this morning when I was driving to work so I finally had to turn my AC off. :D
