Have I been taking ANY pictures?

Since I haven’t had an entry here in awhile, you would think I haven’t been taking any pictures! Well, truth of the matter is I have been VERY busy with the LensFlare35 podcasts with some of the top Canon photographers from around the world. It takes up a LOT of my time, as does the consulting work that I do! However, I HAVE been doing some shooting and in the landscape area, I just haven’t had a chance to work on the images.

A few weeks ago I got a call and this girl asked if I did senior portraits. Now, the unusual part of this was, she was calling from Colorado! I had taken a look at the caller ID and saw the 303 area code, so my response was – yes, but you’re a long way away from the Adirondacks! Well, Emily’s family has a camp in Dolgeville, so she had searched for photographers in the area. The thing that sold her on my ability to do her portrait, was my landscape work! She’s a nature girl and loved the landscape images on the site.

So, I said yes, she flew in last week to spend time with her family on the lake, and we had a great photo session on Sunday. She and her family were a lot of fun, and Jan with the Dolgeville Mill provided the first location for us to shoot in, while the Albertson’s, who own Wards Pond B&B were fantastic hosts as well. Both spots are GREAT locations for portraits of any kind! See what you think of Emily’s images from the shoot…
